What is Asteride and who is it for?

Asteride is India’s only biker-focused community app, making motorcycling safer, more social, and organized. From planning solo or group rides to discovering festivals and news, it’s your all-in-one digital garage and ride planner.


Is it free?

Absolutely—and there’s no catch! Asteride is 100% free to download and use. 

Enjoy unlimited ride planning, Asterbytes news, MotoStay bookings, group chats, SOS alerts, and more. Ride on! 


How do I sign up on Asteride?

Download Asteride from the Play Store or App Store. Sign up using your phone number and verify with an OTP (One-Time Password). Then build your biker profile and start exploring!


Can I use Asteride without joining a group?

Absolutely! Discover rides, plan routes, read Asterbytes, and book MotoStays—no group needed. Join one only if you want more features like group rides and chats.


How to add my profile image?

Go to Profile → Edit Profile, tap the profile picture circle, choose a new image, and save your changes.


What app permissions does Asteride require?

+ Notifications – To send important updates and ride alerts

+ Location – For live ride tracking and route features

+ Storage – To save photos and videos.

+ Camera/Photos/Videos – To upload images for your profile, groups, and rides.


How to add my bike details in the app?

Go to Profile → My Garage → Add Bike, upload or snap a photo, choose the manufacturer, model, and year, then hit Save—your bike will now appear in your profile.

How do I create a ride?

1. Use the “create a Ride” feature:

How do I create my first ride in the app?

Tap the âž• icon at the bottom and select Create a Ride. Choose "Solo" or "With Others", then follow the step-by-step guide to add your route, details, and preview.

Once saved, your ride is ready to roll! 🏍️


How do I create a one-day ride?

To create your first ride, just tap the ➕ icon on the bottom of your screen and choose Create a Ride. 

You’ll be asked if you want to ride solo or with others—pick what suits you best. Then while creating the ride, select a single-day itinerary as an option to map your route. Preview your ride and then hit publish.

 

Can I create multi-day rides?

Yes! Tap the âž• icon and choose Create a Ride. Pick Solo or Group, then select the multi-day itinerary option while setting up your ride.

Add your route, details, and preview everything before publishing.


How do I plan a solo ride on Asteride?

Tap the ➕ icon, select Solo Ride, set your route, add waypoints if needed, then preview and publish. That’s it—your solo ride is ready to go!1

 

How do I organize a group ride using the app?

To plan a group ride, tap the ➕ icon , select “with others ” option, enter your route and schedule, then choose your group. Preview your ride details and groups, and then click publish . Your ride is created for the group and it will be shown on all members' ride invites and group roadbook.

 

How can I plan a ride with friends who aren’t in my group?

Tap the ➕ icon, select “With Others,” invite riders by username, then preview and publish—invites go out automatically, and you can share the ride link via SMS, WhatsApp, or any platform.

 

How do I invite friends to join my ride?

Invites are sent out instantly. Want to loop in friends who aren’t on Asteride yet? No problem—just share your ride link via WhatsApp/SMS by sharing the URL link.

 

Is there a way to set staggered meet-up points, pitstops or checkpoints for long rides?

Yes! While planning your ride, tap “Add Stops” to include meet-up points, pitstops, or checkpoints for each day.

 

Who’s joining my ride and how do I view the full attendee list?

Open the ride page, scroll to the Riders section, where you’ll see the admin and a few participants. Tap “View All” to see the complete list of attendees.


Can I make a ride private?

Yes! You can set a ride as private while creating it, or edit an existing ride anytime to change its privacy settings.


Can I edit or delete a ride?

Before the ride starts: Yes, you can edit or cancel/delete the ride.

After the ride starts, Editing is locked to keep ride details accurate, but you can still delete it if needed.


Can I edit a ride after creating it?

Yes! As long as the ride hasn’t started, you can edit it. Just tap the three dots on the ride card and choose Edit Ride to update the route, timing, or details.


Can I edit a ride after it starts?

No. Once the ride begins, editing is locked to ensure tracking accuracy and preserve the ride’s history.


Can I delete or cancel a ride?

Yes! You can delete or cancel any ride before or after it starts. Just open the ride, tap the three dots, and choose Delete Ride.


What visibility settings can I choose for my rides?

+ Invite-Only: Only riders you explicitly invite (via link) can see and join the ride.

+ Group-Specific: Only members of a selected group can view and participate.

+ Public: Anyone using Asteride can discover, view, and join your ride.

 

What payment methods are accepted for paid rides?

Asteride accepts all major payment methods via Razorpay—UPI, cards, net banking, wallets, and EMI options.


What is the “Ride zone” in Asteride?

Ride Zone is your live ride dashboard, activated 2 hours before the ride. Just tap “Go to Ride Zone”, hit play, and you’re officially on the road.

What happens when I tap SOS in the Ride Zone?

Tapping SOS sends a notification to your ride members with your name and SOS details—helping them respond quickly in case of an emergency.


What is the Roadbook feature?

Roadbook is your personal ride log, automatically created when you finish a ride. It captures your route, stats, and key details—like a digital diary of all your completed biking adventures.

 

How to add photos/videos in our roadbook?

Go to Profile → Roadbook, select the ride, tap “Add Photos”, choose up to 5 photos or videos, preview them, and hit Save.


How can I rate a ride?

Go to Profile → Roadbook, select the ride, tap “Ratings & Feedback”, give your rating, add feedback, and tap Submit.

 

👥 Groups & Communities

 

How do I discover rides or groups?

Tap the Explore tab on the bottom navigation bar. You can browse active rides and groups and search to find what fits your interest.

 

Can I join multiple groups?

Yes! You can join as many groups as you'd like and switch between them easily.
Just note—you can join up to 5 new groups per day to keep things smooth and manageable.

 

Can I leave or report a group?

Absolutely. Go to the group page → More Options → Exit Group. To report any issues, head to Help & Support and submit a ticket.

 

👥 Creating and Growing Your Group

 

How do I create a group on Asteride?

Tap the âž• icon and select Create Group. Add your group name, unique ID, bio, founding place/year, choose group settings, upload a profile photo, and optionally invite members.

Preview everything and hit Publish—your biker crew is now official!

 

How can I invite members to a group?

While creating a group, you can add members by their Asteride usernames.
For existing groups, tap More Options → Add Members, then invite people using their username. Tap Done to finish.

 

What visibility settings can I choose for my group?

+ Public: Anyone can find, preview, and request to join.

+ Invite-Only: Visible to all, but only joinable via direct invite.

+ Private: Hidden from search—only visible to invited members.

Can I set rules or guidelines for my group?

Yes! Go to Group Settings → Edit, and add your rules in the Description section. These show up when someone joins and can include anything, from helmet requirements to group etiquette.

 

What controls do I have as a group admin?

As a group admin, you can:

+ Add or remove members

+ Manage join requests

+ Make other group members admins

+ Edit group details

+ Exit or delete the group.

You're fully in control of your group’s vibe and safety.

 

🏕️ MotoStays

 

What are MotoStays?

Discover handpicked, biker-friendly homestays that go beyond the basics—secure parking for your bike, rider-sized meals after long journeys, safety lockers for peace of mind, and access to stunning, lesser-known routes nearby. Whether you're riding solo or with your crew, these stays are built with your ride in mind.

 

How do I book a MotoStay?

To book a MotoStay, just head to the MotoStay tab in the app, browse your options, click on the MotoStay that you like, and tap “Enquire Now.” Once we receive your request, our team will step in to help you confirm your stay.

 

Can I list my property as a MotoStay?

Yes, you can list your property for bikers to book through Asteride. To get started, simply send a request to hello@asteride.com, and we’ll provide you with a form to fill out. Once submitted, our team will review your property and help you get it listed for the riding community.

 

Can I see rider reviews and ratings before I book a MotoStay? Are MotoStays safe?

Absolutely—every stay is carefully vetted by the Asteride team and trusted by genuine rider reviews and ratings from those who’ve experienced it firsthand.

 

Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

Yes, depending on the property’s cancellation policy. Instant rescheduling will be added soon.

 

🛡️ Safety & SOS

 

How does the SOS feature work?

  1. Tap the SOS button in the ride zone.
  2. Notifies emergency contacts and group admins
  3. Every rider who is part of the ride will receive your sos details to assist you as needed.

 

Can I add emergency details?

Yes. To add an emergency contact, open your profile, tap Edit, and then add your emergency details. Once added, next time if you encounter a SOS situation, all the riders who are part of the ride will receive alerts if an emergency occurs.

 

What notifications will I receive during rides and events?

You will be notified about ride timings, preview and final calls for rides, users who are joining/leaving the ride, ride alerts, SOS, and updates on the fly.

 

Can I share my ride on social media?

Yes! Tap the Share icon to export ride links to WhatsApp, Instagram, and more.

 

How do ride reminders work?

Enable push notifications in Settings → Notifications. You’ll get alerts for upcoming rides and RSVPs.

What is Asterbytes?

How often is the Asterbytes feed updated?

Asterbytes is refreshed every day with the freshest biking news—model launches, gear reviews, rider stories, and more—so you’ll never miss a beat in the two-wheeler world.

 

Is there a way to share Asterbytes posts directly to social media?

Yes—every Asterbyte story has a share icon in the top-right corner. Just tap it to instantly post to social media, email, SMS, or any messaging app of your choice.

How do I discover upcoming biking events or festivals in my area?

Asteride keeps you in the loop on every upcoming moto-event—just head to the Home screen and scroll down to the Events section to browse all the events.

 

How to book events?

Go to the events section, scroll through lists of events posted in the app, select the one you like, click, and then tap book now. You will be redirected to the event organiser's website or form, where you can then book the event.

 

⚙️ Account & Technical Issues

 

How do I report a bug or request a new feature?

To report a bug or suggest a new feature, simply raise a ticket using the Help and support in the home menu or email us at support@asteride.com with the details—we’re always listening!

 

How do I update my profile?

Go to Profile → Tap Edit Icon → Update name, avatar, bio, and bike list.

 

Can I hide my ride history or make my profile completely private?

Yes! Just go to your profile, tap the Edit Profile button, and select “Set Profile to Private.” Save your changes, and your ride history and profile will be kept private.

 

The app is crashing or slow—what can I do?

+ Update the app: Make sure you’re on the latest Asteride version from your app store. Updates fix bugs and boost performance.

+ Clear cache: Go to your device’s Settings and clear the app cache to free up space and refresh data.

+ Restart your device: Sometimes, a quick reboot clears temporary glitches.

+ Check your internet: A stable connection helps the app run smoothly. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to test.

+ Free up storage: Low device storage can slow down apps. Delete unused files or apps if needed.
